• Q: How to Service and Repair a Fuse Box on 2008 Jeep Commander?

  A: Before working on the fuse box, isolate the air bag system by taking off the negative battery cable and waiting two minutes until the capacitor is discharged. At first, grasp the upper edge of the cover and pull it away from the steering column to take out the retaining clips and then remove the screw at the base. Then, take off both bottom JB connectors and slide around to disconnect the JB connector that is facing upward. Take out the screws that attach the JB to the bracket first and next remove the two clips holding the top part of the JB. Push up on the junction block at the top and lift it from the bracket to free the lower tabs. Lift out the Justice Box through the opening at the lower end of the instrument panel.
