2009 Jeep Commander Fuse Box Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install the Fuse Box on 2009 Jeep Commander?
A: Transfer all fuses, circuit breakers and relays on the inoperative JB into the same positions on the new JB before installing it. Attach the JB onto the JB bracket by slipping the two lower retaining tabs into the bracket's lower slots and the snap clips on top into the bracket's upper slots. Firmly take the JB with both hands and put the JB into the bracket so that the snap clips lock the top into place. After that, fix the four screws holding the JB in place to achieve a torque of 2 Nm (20 in. lbs.). Replace the top wire harness cable connector with the connector receptacle on the JB and next, put the bottom side wire harness Kenwood connectors in place with their specific receptacles on the JB. Put in the steering column opening cover, secure it with a screw, push the top of the panel in and attach the minus cable to the battery.
