How to Maintain and Fix a Cruise Control Switch on 2008 Jeep Compass?

Before working on the cruise control switch, unplug the negative side of the battery cable, give the front air bag system capacitor two minutes to discharge and then take out the steering wheel or other front air bag parts. Put the car in park, then switch off the engine and take out the driver's side air bag. Then, unplug electrical connector 1 from horn switch 2 and then get rid of the screws that hold both the horn switch and its mount to the steering wheel. Subsequently, release connector 1 from switch 3 and take out screws 4 to take away switch 3 from beneath the steering wheel.
