  A: Before you can remove the front lower ball joint, take off the tire and wheel assembly. After that, remove the brake caliper and rotor from the wheel. Then, break both links-first between the tie rod and the steering knuckle using tool 9360 and then between the upper ball joint and the knuckle once more as well. When done, go ahead and use tool 8677 to separate the lower ball joint from the steering knuckle. Get rid of the steering knuckle as the next step. For durability and correct use while working on and taking out the tool, cover its threads in lubrication. After that, press the ball joint on the lower control arm using tools C-4212-F, C-4212-3 and 9654-3.
