How to Maintain and Fix a Ball Joint on 2007 Jeep Liberty?

To fix or repair the ball joint, you need to raise and support the vehicle and also support the rear axle using a hydraulic jack. Lift up on the ball joint 1 assembly using a pry and remove it from the differential housing after removing bolt 2. After that, take out the upper suspension arm from the vehicle and fix it in a vise. Attach special tools called C-4212F for the press, 8861-3 for the driver and 8861-2 for the receiver to remove the old ball joint.
