2008 Jeep Wrangler Wheel Stud Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Rear Wheel Stud on 2008 Jeep Wrangler?
A: Install the new rear wheel stud first by putting it into the hub flange while rotating it between the hub/bearing and the park brake shoes. After that, add three washers to the stud and put the lug nut on top of them with the flat side facing out. Tighten the lug nut after the stud starts being pulled into the hub flange and then make sure the stud is properly seated. After you've removed the lug nut and washers, put the brake rotor and caliper into place. After that, fit the wheel and tire with new lug nuts to the replaced studs and then remove the support to lower the vehicle.
