2009 Chrysler 300 Door Latch Assembly Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove a Front Door Latch Assembly on 2009 Chrysler 300?
A: First, remove the panel on the inside of the front door, next the speaker and finally the watershield. After that, take out the screw that fastens the pull cup bracket and rear window regulator rail to the door. Relax the screw that holds the top of the pull cup bracket in place, pull it out of the keyed hole and remove it completely. By reaching inside the back of the door shell, locate and unsnap the plastic clip connecting the latch lever's interior door latch link, then disengage the link and pull out the interior door latch lock link and knob from the front of the door. Next, separate the plastic clips on both the interior and exterior door latch releases and take them from the latch. On the driver's front door, too, unsnap the plastic clip for the lock cylinder lock actuator link. Take out the three screws keeping the latch in place on the outside of the front door. You can easily remove the wiring connector once every link has been removed and the latch is unscrewed. After that, push the latch forward from the back of the door inner shell and pull the door wire harness connector out of the front door latch connector receptacle, before removing the latch entirely from the door interior.
