How to Service and Repair a Trunk Lid Latch on 2009 Chrysler 300?

For service or repair of the trunk or liftgate latch, first open the deck lid and take out the negative battery cable. After that, take off the covering over the inside latch. Lift the plastic clip located on the body wire harness connector and slide the connector out of the receptacle on the latch. Then, take out the two screws keeping the latch to the inside of the deck lid and remove the latch from the deck on the inside.
