2009 Chrysler 300 Steering Knuckle Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Use Ball Joint Press C-4212F to Disassemble a Steering Knuckle on 2009 Chrysler 300?
A: It would be best to attach Ball Joint Press C-4212F into a vise while taking the steering knuckle apart. First, slip Ball Joint Remover/Installer 9320 into Ball Joint Press C-4212F's cup and screw it in place. Then, join Ball Joint Remover/Installer 9320-3 onto the tip of the screw-drive part of your Ball Joint Press C-4212F. Remove the snap-ring at the bottom of the ball joint with snap-ring pliers. Slide the halves of Support Clamp onto the ball joint and around the knuckle. From beneath, use the screw to secure them in place. Hold the press screw-driver on top of the ball with the knuckle, guiding the top of the ball joint into the Receiver as you tighten, so it contacts the Remover underneath. After installing the Support Clamp, make sure the Receiver rests in its recessed section. Using the Press screw-driver, push the ball joint out of the knuckle and into the Receiver. Subsequently, take out the screw-drive, pull the knuckle off the Press, remove the ball joint from the Receiver and extract the Support Clamp from the knuckle.
