2009 Chrysler Aspen A/C Condenser Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove an A/C Condenser on 2009 Chrysler Aspen?
A: To start, safety is important, so on HEVs, use the service disconnect at the battery pack and for gasoline-only models, remove the negative cable from the battery. Get the refrigerant out of the refrigeration system. After that, take out the push-pin retainers and the upper condenser/radiator seal. Remove the wires from the condenser fan motor and from the A/C pressure transducer. Afterward, remove the two wire harness retainers from the shroud and relocate the harness away from the fan. Open the A/C drain and A/C liquid lines at the outside condenser by taking off their tie nuts and then remove the lines and throw away their seals and gaskets. Detach the A/C discharge line from the retainer attached to the condenser fan shroud and plug or tape over the opened and unsealed discharge and liquid line fittings and condenser ports. Unscrew the three bolts that hold the upper radiator support to the front crossmember, remove the support and position the radiator overflow hose so it is not in your way. Unbolt the condenser/cooling fan assembly from the upper left fender rail, push back the radiator and remove the assembly from the engine. Take the assembly to a workbench and take out the two stabilizing screws that fix the A/C condenser to the condenser fan shroud, then take the A/C condenser from the shroud.
