How to Service and Repair an Engine Mount for 2WD and 4WD on 2009 Chrysler Aspen?

Before servicing or repairing the engine mount in a 2WD, first take off the negative cable from the battery. If your car is equipped with a viscous fan, remove it first to protect the fan blade, fan clutch and fan shroud, then disconnect the cooling fan, engine oil filter and oil drain trough. Add the Engine Support 8534B, remove the through bolts and raise the engine enough to check and remove the left and right engine mounts. For the last step, unbolt the engine attaching bolts and take out the engine mounts. For a 4WD, first take off the negative cable from the battery, remove the cooling fan, skid plate and front crossmember and then remove the engine oil filter and oil drain trough. First, support the front axle with a suitable jack, install Engine Support 8534B and then remove the bolts connecting both engine mounts to the front axle and those connecting the front axle to the left engine bracket. Drop the front of the car, take out the through bolts and remove the viscous fan if your car has one to prevent damage. After you've raised the engine, unbolt and remove the engine mount bolts on both sides and the mounts.
