Do not attempt to install the camshaft when any pistons are in the position known as top dead center. Lubricate each camshaft bearing journal, rocker arm and lob, starting in the center. Reinstall rocker arms in their previous locations if you are using them again. Secure the camshafts in the cylinder head on bearing journals No. 1 - 3 and add the right and left caps No. 2 - 5 and right No. 6, attaching each fastener to 12 Nm (105 in. lbs.) in the proper order. Use Mopar(R) Gasket Maker on bearing caps No. 1 and No. 6 and fit these caps, tightening the M8 fasteners to 28 Nm (250 in. lbs.). Before fitting the seals, the bearing end caps have to be installed. Place the camshaft oil seals by using Camshaft Seal Installer MD-998306. After that, fit the camshaft target magnet and camshaft position sensor (3). After installing the cylinder head, move on to the timing belt rear cover, fasteners (1,2) and finally install the timing belt tensioner (3). To install the camshaft sprockets, use Camshaft Sprocket Holder 6847 and after that, place the timing belt.
