For rear disc brake cars, the first step is to raise and preserve vehicle support. After that, get rid of the wheel holding nuts and then get rid of the rear tire and wheel set. At this point, take out the guide pin bolts from the disc brake caliper and separate it from the adapter. Place the caliper apart from the vehicle, tying it up with a wire hanger or bungee cord so it does not touch the flex hose and become damaged. When that's done, unclip the brake rotor retaining clips and then take out the brake rotor itself. First, take the dust cap off the hub and bearing, remove the nut from the hub and lift the hub and bearing from the spindle.
