How to Maintain a Sway Bar Bushing in the Rear Suspension on 2009 Chrysler PT Cruiser?

When working on the rear suspension sway bar bushing, you should first raise and support your vehicle. Take out the three bolts that hold the bushings in place to the rear axle. Take the bolted-on retainers out of the axle holes so that the sway bar is free to hang on the links. To get the cushion off, pull back the crimp tab at the top of the retainer, then remove the retainer's two pieces. Peel the cushion away from the sway bar through the slit that was ready-made on its side.
