2009 Dodge Dakota Radiator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Remove and Replace a Radiator in Your Engine Cooling System on 2009 Dodge Dakota?
A: Before taking out the engine cooling radiator, disconnect the negative battery cable and empty the cooling system. Then, take out the pushpins and the upper condenser/radiator seal and then remove the upper radiator hose. Cut the power steering hoses off the power steering fluid cooler and, if there is one, dissconnect the transmission oil cooler lines too. Take out the overflow tube and the radiator fan cover, putting the unit on top of the radiator fan. Lift the vehicle and take out the power steering cooler lines. Unscrew the lower radiator hose and then bring down the vehicle. After removing the upper bolts, get rid of the radiator from the vehicle. Should it be necessary, take out the power steering fluid oil cooler from the radiator and also remove the A/C condenser from the radiator.
