How to Properly Install and Service an A/C Hose Discharge Line on 2009 Dodge Ram 1500?

While servicing the A/C refrigerant system, carefully adjust the refrigerant oil level to prevent either system problems or damage to the compressor. If you replace several A/C components, look up the correct measurement of refrigerant oil in the chart. Make sure to replace the refrigerant line seals and gaskets when separating the lines while working. If you remove the A/C pressure transducer, place it onto the A/C discharge line for installation. Remove both tape or plugs from the ends of the discharge line fitting and the ports on the compressor and condenser jumper line. Apply clean R-134a refrigerant oil to the new seals and put them along with the designated seals on the fitting of the discharge line. Hook up the A/C discharge line to the condenser jumper line tapping block and torque the nut to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.), then attach the discharge line to the compressor and also tighten the nut to this stock number. Attach the wire harness to the A/C pressure transducer and plug back in the negative battery cable. Remove all the refrigerant from the system and check that the oil level is correct.
