To put on the rear door latch, add the actuator rods first and then secure both retainers. Stack the rear door latch and actuator rods together and slip the lock knob rod through the hole in the inner door panel. Anchoring the rear door latch to the door with three bolts and tighten them to 10.5 Nm (95 in. lbs). Then, hook up the door wire harness to the back door latch, connect the interior handle actuator rod to the back door latch and secure the retainer. The following step is connecting the actuator's rod to the rear exterior handle. In the end, place the watershield behind the rear door and fine-tune the door latch as it should be at that point.
