2009 Jeep Commander Horn Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Install a Theft Security Horn on 2009 Jeep Commander?
A: You'll need to position the alarm siren module and the mounting bracket inside the hollow at the rear of the right side of the crossmember crossmember, to the side of the right frame rail. Screw the siren mounting bracket to the right end of the front crossmember and tighten it with 14 Nm (10 ft. lbs.). Connect the headlamp and dash wire harness back to the connector mounted above the siren. Put the horn(s) and mounting bracket back on the right side of the frame rail at the front near the outboard area. Place the vehicle onto the ground and reattach the negative battery cable. Before the VTSS works as intended, you must change the siren settings in the intrusion module using a diagnostic scan tool if a new alarm siren module has been installed.
