2009 Jeep Wrangler A/C Switch Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Maintain the A/C Switch and Heater Control on 2009 Jeep Wrangler?
A: The first step to servicing the A/C and heater is to cut the negative battery cable, disconnect it and wait about two minutes for the air bag system to discharge. Remove the negative battery cable and remove the center bezel from the instrument panel, severing all wire connections to the outlets and switches from the harness. Before taking out the control cables, observe where they are located. Release the retaining clips from the A/C-heater controls by using a small screwdriver. Lifting up the central housing, undo the clips that attach the control cables to the mode control and temperature control sector gears. After removing the wire harness connectors from the heater-A/C control at its back, place the center bezel on a workbench. Lastly, eliminate the four screws attached to the back of the center bezel that hold the A/C-heater control in place, then take the control out.
