Don't touch the AC and heater control while the air bag is active, so first isolate the negative
Battery Cable to turn off the air bag system, then wait 2 minutes for the capacitor to discharge. For safety, detach the negative battery connector as your first step. Following this, free the center bezel from the instrument panel and remove the wiring connectors from the power outlets and all switches. Before you remove the control cables, pay attention to how they are positioned in the vehicle. Disconnect the A/C-heater control's return cables from the back part with a small screwdriver. Similarly, take off the clips holding the control cable clips that connect to the mode and temperature control gears. Take the wire harness connectors off the rear of the A/C-heater control and set the center bezel on a workbench. Remove the four screws on the A/C-heater control at the back of the center bezel, then take out the control.
