2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser Brake Disc Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Remove and Replace the Front Brake Disc for the BR4 Performance Brake System on 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser?
A: Make sure you use the right parts as mixing them with other systems is prohibited. It's important to remove any dirt or rust from where the rotor attaches before starting. After that, put the brake rotor onto the hub and bearing by placing it over the studs. After that, set the disc brake caliper and adapter assembly on top of the brake rotor and knuckle. Hold down the caliper adapter on the knuckle, add the bolts and firmly tighten them to 104 Nm (77 ft. lbs.). Following this, place the tire and wheel assembly on the car and secure the wheel mounting nuts so they reach 135 Nm (100 ft. lbs.). Pull the vehicle down and repeatedly pump the brake pedal until the pads touch the brake rotor. After, look into the brake fluid level in the reservoir and add more if required and drive the car on the road, stopping several times to align the brake pads with the rotor.
