Apply this procedure with an O2S removal tool, as new oxygen sensors are coated in anti-seize compound by the factory. Attach the O2 sensor to the catalytic converter and turn the bolt to a torque of 41 Nm (30 ft. lbs.). Connect the O2 sensor pigtail harness to the engine wiring harness and clip the O2S wire harness into place on the engine or chassis, if it comes with them. Remove the upstream oxygen sensor when the engine is cooled and use the O2S removal tool safely. Secure the O2 sensor onto the catalytic converter with 41 Nm of torque, then join the O2 sensor pigtail harness to the main wire harness from the engine and fasten the O2S wire harness clips to the engine or body if that is included.
