2010 Chrysler Town & Country Power Steering Hose Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Power Steering Hose from the Gear to the Cooler on 2010 Chrysler Town & Country?
A: The first step in serving the return hose from the gear to the cooler is to separate the negative battery cable from the battery. Eliminate the cap on the reservoir for power steering fluid and get rid of the fluid using a siphon pump. After taking the vehicle up, slide out the screw that holds the return hose routing clamp at the behind the ABS bracket support. After that, unlink the tube nut joining the return hose with the power steering gear and pull the pressure hose out of the gear port. Having lowered the car, take out the two bolts and one nut that hold the battery tray in place on the left frame rail. Remove the tray holding the battery from its stud. Before you remove the return hose from the car, take off the clamp connecting the cooling return hose to the gear box and separate both the return hose and the connecting hose from the cooler.
