How to Install a Front Crankshaft Seal Using Seal Installer 9506 on 2010 Dodge Caliber?

First, fit seal 1 onto Seal installer 9506 so that the seal spring is pointing toward the inside of the engine before you install it. Set the crankshaft damper bolt 3 firmly into the mid position in the crankshaft, then install the new seal using Seal Installer 9506, keeping pressure on the seal until it is centered inside the front cover where it fits against the timing chain cover 3. Remove the Seal installer 9506 and then mount the crankshaft vibration damper. Before putting in the damper retaining bolt and holder 9707, lubricate the threaded holes and space between the bolt head and washer. After that, tighten the bolt to a setting of about 50 Nm + 68° (37 ft. lbs. + 68°).
