2010 Dodge Challenger Steering Knuckle Parts and Q&A
Q: How to Service and Repair a Steering Knuckle on 2010 Dodge Challenger?
A: In order to service and repair the steering knuckle, start by setting up Ball Joint Press C-4212F in a vise so that it performs best. Place Insert Ball Joint Remover/Installer 9320-4 into the cup portion of Ball Joint Press C-4212F and secure set screw. Then, ensure that Ball Joint Remover/Installer 9320-3 is on the screw-drive end of Ball Joint Press C-4212F with it facing the right direction of installation. Install the new ball joint into the knuckle-bore with the knuckle over the tools so that the top of the ball joint runs into the installer until the outside flange of the ball-joint bottoms into the installer. Press screw-drive tightened by hand until remover bottoms on knuckle after which knuckle are tightened with hand tools with screw-drive pressed into knuckle until flange stops operating against it. Unscrew the screw-drive and take out the knuckle of the press then fit the snap-ring in the groove at the bottom of the ball joint. Lastly, check the ball joint to make sure it fits well then install the knuckle onto the car after making sure seal boot is smooth and wire rings are applied.
