How to Replace an A/C Hose in an HVAC System for Liquid Hose on Chrysler 300M?

Before removing the A/C liquid line, you should remove all refrigerant from the system with a recovery machine. The engine air inlet tube and the air distribution duct must be removed afterward. Loosen the screw holding the A/C plumbing to the expansion valve with a M13 Hex wrench, take out the suction line block from the valve, put a cap on the line and hang it aside out of the way. Don't forget to seal all those lines that you aren't replacing, including the expansion valve and condenser fittings. Take the fastener off the liquid line at the filter-drier and if there is a short filter-drier to the evaporator line, take that out as well. After that, detach the filter/drier bracket fastener and pull the bracket off the strut panel, using pliers to remove the two plastic fasteners. Disconnect the liquid line fastener at the condenser using the M13 Hex wrench, but first remove the radiator's upper crossmember, as it is blocking your way. Ease open the liquid line mounting clamp fastener near the service port, detach the liquid line from the filter-drier fastener and then remove it from the vehicle. Any fittings you do not plan on using should be plugged with caps to avoid moisture getting inside. To install, use the same steps in reverse, but check that all liquid line fasteners are torqued down to 20.3 N.m (15 ft. lbs.) for the TXV and condenser, 13.6 N.m (10 ft. lbs.) for the filter-drier and 6.8 N.m (5 ft. lbs.) for the plastic bracket and screws.
