Within the blend-air door actuator is a feedback strip that provides information to the air conditioner's main computer about the door's precise position. When the actuator is defective, it should be changed out as it cannot be serviced. The temperature door actuator is located under the heater housing in the central tunnel. You need to remove the negative
Battery Cable remote terminal from the battery post before lifting out both of the left and right underpanel silencer/ducts. Remove two screws from the actuator, found on the right side of the center stack and one screw from the opposite, left side. After pulling the actuator down, remove the electrical connection and memorize the shaft position since it is keyed. To install, undo the removal steps, lining up the new actuator's shaft with where the original was placed.
