How to Maintain an Ashtray on Chrysler 300?

The first step in servicing the ash tray is to separate and isolate the negative battery cable. Take out the gear shift center bezel from the console with the proper instruments. Press the emergency braking lever and change the gear lever to the Low position. Separate the ash receiver from its support on the instrument panel by loosening the snap retainers with a trim stick C-4755 or similar. If necessary, disconnect the connectors of the wire harness from the switches for the heated seat and remove the switches as required. Also, unplug the wire harness connector from the lighter and take out the ash receiver from the vehicle. In case the heated seat switches were taken out, place them in the ash receiver and secure all the wire harness connectors. Should you have detached the lighter assembly, place it into the ash receiver and attach the wire harness connector again. Gently push the ash receiver assembly until the buttons on the side are fully pushed in. Place the gear shift center bezel on the floor console, set the gear into Park, release the emergency brake and attach the negative battery cable.
