First, open the glove compartment by pressing the glove box latch and pulling it out to the side, then keep the latch and place the glove box on a workbench. Insert the ignition key into the part of the glove box attached to the ignition and turn it 90 degrees to the right. After inserting a small blown tool into the hole in the latch housing, grip the lock pin with another tool, turn the ignition key an additional 1/4 turn clockwise and then lock the ignition again. Take both the ignition key and the glove box lock cylinder out of the glove box latch at once. Keep in mind the arrangement of each tumbler in the cylinder, as you take them out along with the springs during removal from the glove box lock cylinder.
Q: How to Service and Repair a Glove Box on Chrysler Crossfire?
A:
The first step is to remove the air nozzle and afterward remove the lower instrument panel (1). Remove the lid on top of the glove compartment opening by opening the glove compartment (2). After that, take out the electrical connection and remove the glove compartment lamp (1). Take out the screws (1, 2, 4 and 5) found around the opening and the screw (3) nearby on the instrument panel. Remove the glove compartment once your vehicle is finished.
