  To carry out service and repair of your power steering fluid cooler, you need to siphon all the power steering fluid possible out of the reservoir first. Lift the vehicle with a frame hoist or use jack stands underneath the car. Remove both the front fascia and Grille as an assembly from the car. After that, loosen the crimp clamps on the hoses and cooler so the fluid can be drained out. Take out the bolt that keeps the cooler in place on the bumper reinforcement. For installation, place the power steering fluid cooler on the bumper reinforcement and hold it in position using the bolt and a 7 Nm (60 inch lbs.) torque. Secure both Power Steering Hoses to the cooler with new quality hose clamps, making sure the clamps go over the upset bead of the cooler. After putting in the front grille and fascia, lower the car so the front wheels hang slightly in the air, still supported by the jacks. Begin by adding the right amount of power steering fluid to the reservoir, starting the car and running it for only a short time before you turn it off. Add more fluid if the level drops, until the level does not change after the engine is run. After turning on the engine, gently move the steering wheel left and then right while barely touching the wheel stops, topping off the fluid as required. Once the engine is turned off, look at the fluid level and replace any that is low. Wait a few minutes and allow the vehicle to level out if the fluid looks highly foamy before using the thermometer again.
