Because the PDC is a unit with the engine compartment wire harness, any fault or damage to the PDC or inside its housing means replacing the entire unit along with the wire harness. First, take out the battery negative remote cable, followed by removing every wire harness connector from the engine compartment. Promise the screws holding each of the wire harness ground eyelets to the vehicle body and chassis components and unplug each connector locking the wire harness to the vehicle body and chassis. Detach the engine compartment connector and cable harness by taking out a mounting screw from the top of the weather strip and pushing the tabs on the base. Put the PDC over the mounting bracket in the engine, make sure that the PDC mounting slots are on the same vertical line as the blades on the PDC mounting bracket and hold the PDC housing down until it secures itself. From the PDC, we will route the wire harness through the engine compartment, fixing each of the retainers onto the mounting provisions in the vehicle body and chassis components and securing it properly to the rail found behind the PDC. Secure the wire harness connections to the vehicle with the supplied fasteners, after which you need to connect all the wire harness connectors again. Fasten the positive battery cable nut at the PDC to a torque of 96 - 141 N.m (85 - 130 in. lbs.) and then attach the battery negative remote cable. If you elect to change the PDC with a new unit, shift the fuses, fuse cartridges, fusible links and relays from the old PDC into the proper spots in the new unit.
