They are essential parts of the automotive air conditioning systems and especially the Chrysler LHS A/C Accumulator represents one of the bests in this line of business. While the A/C Accumulator is well known for a priority function of improving efficiency and safety in vehicles, it is also primarily responsible for the proper flow of refrigerant and protection against moisture impurities that may tamper with the climate control system. For use in Chrysler LHS cars made between 1994 and 2001, this A/C Accumulator is built to fit the high-tech climate control systems in LHS models. Drier Desiccant Element removes the dampness and captures dirt that would otherwise cause the A/C system to rust and create sludge that is so expensive to replace. The correct A/C Accumulator Replacement should be done during major A/C services to increase the life of the system as well as to retain the warranty of the Compressor. The Chrysler LHS A/C Accumulator is situated in the market as a unique model characterized by rather powerful construction and high-efficiency level, which contributes to the improvement of the general characteristics of the Chrysler LHS and provides the driver with comfortable conditions. As for the Chrysler LHS A/C Accumulator, the auto spare part is noted for its prominent features and quality assurance, which ensures a steady customers' demand and makes it stand out as a reliable component in Chrysler vehicles.

Chrysler LHS A/C Accumulator Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair an A/C Accumulator on Chrysler LHS?
    A:
Let's start with the process by removing the refrigerant from the A/C accumulator. On vehicles with the appropriate engine, take out the engine air inlet tube and the air distribution duct. After that, remove one 8mm hex bolt that holds the A/C accumulator bracket and remove the nut that holds the A/C lines to the expansion valve. Take out the A/C accumulator bracket from the strut tower carefully, after which you disconnect one A/C line from the condenser and remove the A/C accumulator from under the hood. Separate the short line going to the expansion valve from the A/C accumulator. While installing, make sure to fit it all back to the new A/C accumulator and use a new filter/drier every time. Since the system remains open, remember to cover all liquid lines to prevent water moisture from getting in. Keep all refrigerant tubing smooth and round when you connect it to the system, keep bends no narrower than ten times the size of the tube and make sure refrigerant hoses are at least 80 millimeters away from the exhaust manifold at every turn. Pressure and leak tests must be done on all refrigerant connections and the flexible lines should be inspected yearly for damage or wrong routing. Begin by bringing all pieces and lines close together; finish by tightening them to make sure you avoid any damage. On the small line, connect the A/C accumulator to the expansion valve and set the new A/C accumulator in the vehicle. Screw the A/C line into the A/C accumulator, pulling it tight with 13.6 Nm of torque (10 ft. lb. of torque) and bolt the A/C accumulator bracket to the strut tower. Attach the nut that holds the A/C line to the expansion valve, tightening it to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.), then return the A/C accumulator bracket bolt. After that, reattach the engine air inlet hose and the air distribution duct for vehicles with the specified engine, eliminate the refrigerant from the system and charge it up as directed.
