The first thing to do when servicing the cruise control servo is to disconnect the negative
Battery Cable. Pull the three bolts out of the servo bracket, disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the vacuum hose. After that, remove the two nuts that hold the speed control cable and bracket to the servo, then take off the servo bracket. Ease the cable back from the servo to uncover the retaining clip and then remove it. Before installing, open the speed control handle all the way, punch the M servo pin through the casing and place the retainer clip on the servo pin. Link the hose to the servo and also plug in the electrical cable. Bring the servo studs through the holes found in the speed control cable and the mounting bracket and attach them with nuts and tighten them to 6.7 Nm (60 in. lbs.). Afterward, assemble the servo and bracket, secure them using nuts and bolts and reconnect the battery's negative wire.
