The Chrysler LHS Power Steering Cooler as this part is known is an improved part that Chryslers needed for improving the performance of the LHS cars it was manufacturing between 1994 and 2001. This Power Steering Cooler is utilized for the purpose of avoiding the overheating of the power steering fluid as this will cause the system to be limited of operation. Situated above the radiator support it employs air through the grille to cool the fluid and works similarly to how the radiator with fins and tube absorbs heat. It should be noted that the Chrysler LHS Power Steering Cooler is one of the key components contributing to the system's power steering integrity and, therefore, to performance and protection aspects. The component should harmoniously integrate with as many LHS models as possible to guarantee that drivers can depend on it to work perfectly with every model. In due course, problems like leakage or blockage may occur and hence the need for replacement as way of regaining functionality. About the Chrysler LHS Power Steering Cooler the following can be stated: the enhanced durability of the product enables Chrysler LHS to be stable in the automotive market of new vehicles as well as improves the automobiles' performance which in its turn adds to their durability. Chrysler LHS Power Steering Cooler is one of the features which do not have many changes and remained reliable in line with the luxurious car driving experience which identified Chrysler LHS thus making it belong to automotive history.

Chrysler LHS Power Steering Cooler Parts and Q&A

  • Q: How to Service and Repair a Power Steering Cooler on Chrysler LHS?
    A:
The first step in servicing the power steering fluid cooler is to empty the reservoir as much as you can, using a siphon pump. You should either lift the vehicle with a frame contact type hoist or keep it up with jack stands. Remove the front fascia to get to the power steering cooler for the 300M. Get the hose clamp off the lower hose at the cooler and pull the lower hose away, draining any residual fluid. After that, take out the hose clamp and top hose from the cooler. Take off the radiator lower support clips, the two nuts that hold the cooler to the lower crossmember and then take out the cooler itself. After that, attach the power steering fluid cooler to the lower radiator crossmember and use the two provided bolts to secure it with a 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.) torque. Attach the air dam onto the radiator lower support using fresh retaining clips. Attach the power steering fluid hoses onto the cooler, so that the hose clamps are set above the upset bead. To fix the 300M model, put on the new front fascia. Lift the wheels off the ground, making sure the front tires are still just taping the ground. Only proper Mopar Power Steering Fluid or a suitable equivalent should be used in the reservoir, as no automatic transmission fluid should be used. Use Next control to complete the Power Steering Pump Initial Operation procedure.
