Lift the washer pump away from the reservoir, moving it through the opening in the grommet without damaging the reservoir. Drop the rubber stopper out of the reservoir. Start installation by putting on a fresh grommet, then cover both the pump and lines with petroleum jelly. Keep pressing on the pump until it is securely put into the grommet. Add the reservoir back, tighten the reservoir nuts and screw to 9 to 14 Nm (80 to 124 in. lbs.) and fill it up.
