Before installing the left multifunction switch, disconnect the negative
Battery Cable, disengage the SRS and allow the system capacitor two minutes to drain. Bring the left multi-function switch near the left side bracket and fit the jumper wire harness connector into the switch housing. Match the tabs on the switch housing with the channel formations on the
Clock Spring bracket, then seat the switch fully within the bracket. Place screw 2 through the mounting tab on the left multi-function switch and tighten it to 1 Nm (10 in. lbs.). Secure the other end of the instrument wire harness to the switch on the back of the housing. Next, place the steering column shrouds back in place on top and beneath the column. Next, hook up the battery negative cable once again.
