How to Remove and Repair a Steering Column Cover for Lower on Chrysler PT Cruiser?

Place the column tilt all the way down before beginning to remove the cover. After that, take out the two screws 4 connecting the upper shroud 1 to the lower shroud 2. First, loosen the screws and press your fingers along the edges where the shrouds meet on each side. After unclipping them, remove the upper shroud. Rotate the tilt lever downward 5 times, then remove screw 3 and then you can take out the entire lower shroud 2.
