Screw the lower A/C suction line (8) onto the accumulator outlet tube (9), then tighten the holding nut (7) to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.) Put the front of the right front wheel house splash shield (3) on top of the body (4) and place and tighten the three push-pin retainers (1), plus the three screws (2). Put on the front wheel, raise the vehicle and attach the negative Battery Cable again. Do not attempt to run the engine while there is onboard vacuum or with an active vacuum pump hooked up to prevent compressor damage. After emptying the refrigerant system, add 20 milliliters (0.7 fluid ounce) of refrigerant oil if you're replacing the accumulator and check the Refrigerant Oil Capacities chart for more replacements.   Before touching the HVAC accumulator, first turn off and unhook the negative Battery Cable and then drain the refrigerant from the refrigeration system. Support the vehicle and then take off the right front wheel. Then, take out the three push-pin clips and the three screws fastening the right front splash shield to the body and set that shield aside so you can reach the A/C accumulator. Pull out the nut holding the lower A/C suction line to the accumulator outlet tube and disconnect the suction line connection. Afterward, remove the retaining band and bolt that hold the A/C accumulator in place. Afterward, take out the nut holding the upper A/C suction line to the accumulator inlet tube and separate this suction line. Should it be necessary, take off the mounting bracket for the accumulator from the car body. After that, get rid of the O-ring seals and gaskets, then seal or put plugs in all the open refrigerant line fittings and accumulator ports.
