How to Remove a Door Latch Assembly on Chrysler Town & Country?

First, take away the carrier plate from the front door and put it onto a workbench to expose the door latch. After that, pull the door wire harness connector (4) out of the latch (1) socket. After that, remove the clips holding the rod and cable to the latch and remove both the rod and cable. Loosen the tab (2) at the top of the door latch from its place on the carrier plate (7). Then, remove the latch by loosening the tab (8) at the bottom. If you have to, take out the retaining clips (3) from each linkage rod and remove the rods from the latch.

How to Install a Door Latch Assembly for a Sliding Door on Chrysler Town & Country?

First, attach cable 3 to hold open latch 4 to install the Sliding Door Hold-Open Latch. Now, fix the hold open latch to lower arm 1 and then add nuts 2 and tighten them by turning them 5 Nm (45 in. lbs.). After that, secure the sliding door sill plate and test how the sliding door works, making changes if required.
