First, remove both of the screws that hold the upper and lower shrouds to each other. Gently push down on each side of the column where the two shrouds meet, right at the join, to separate the inner links. If traction control is part of your vehicle, disconnect the switch harness connector and the mounting screw from the shroud-to-column area. When using a power foldaway mirror, remove the wiring connector at the pig tail on its switch. Remove the upper shroud from the steering column after that. If there is traction control, pull apart the switch wiring from the upper shroud's routing clip and then remove the traction control switch from that clip in the shroud. In addition, if your vehicle has power foldaway mirrors, pull out the switch from the upper shroud.

Place the lower shroud beneath the steering column and use a 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.) torque wrench to attach the lower shroud-to-column screw. Line up the upper shroud with the lower shroud and clip them securely at the locking tab places on all sides of the column. Secure the shrouds to the blow mold with two mounting screws, fastened to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.) torque. Inspect where the shroud mates to the car body and close any wide gaps, then switch on all switches that may have been removed.
