The first step to service and repair the Power Steering Reservoir for the 3.3L/3.8L engine is to unscrew the reservoir's cap. Use a siphon pump to take out all the power steering fluid stored in the reservoir. After that, open the side retainer and pull the cables out of it. Take out the clamp that holds the supply hose to the reservoir and take out the hose. After that, remove the clamp that joins the return hose with the reservoir and separate the hose too. Lastly, remove the bolts and nut that are fastening the reservoir to the tank and take out the reservoir.

Place the reservoir directly on the mounting stud. Screw on the nut for the upper reservoir mount, then fasten it to 12 Nm (9 ft. lbs.). Make sure to put on the return hose over the reservoir and attach the hose clamp past the bead on the fitting.
