Before anything else, loosen the clamp and take off the air duct at the cover of the air filter. Then, use a pry tool to remove the 4 spring clips from the housing cover that hold it to the housing and pull the cover off the locating tabs before you remove it. Take away the air filter, then clean the inside area of the housing. Position the new filter into the housing, pull the housing cover over and push its tabs into the locating slots. Hold the cover up and then press the 4 spring clips to release them and lock the cover to the housing. Match the cleaned air duct to the cover of the air filter and tighten the hose clamp to a level of 3 Nm (30 inch lbs.). If you removed any hose clamps from the air intake system, tighten them to 3.4 Nm (30 inch lbs.) and if you took out any bolts from the air resonator housing or air intake tubing, tighten them to 4.5 Nm (40 inch lbs.) torque.
