An Air Intake Coupling is a short flexible sleeve, which connects the air box to the throttle body that closes the airway and dampens vibration. The Dodge Air Intake Coupling is very easy to install at home. First, it is necessary to park on a flat surface, wait until the engine is cooler, and find the current sleeve. Unscrew the band clamps and unplug any sensors attached, and slide the worn portion out of the pipes. Clean the mating edges, and lengthen and measure the new Air Intake Coupling. Pump it completely on both stubs, align any ribs, clamps (evenly tighten) to get the seal secured, reconnect the hoses, and run the engine a minute or so feeling where the leaks are or hissing.
