- Q: How to Service and Repair a Lower Intake Manifold on Dodge Challenger?A:The negative cable at the battery must be disconnected and insulated before servicing the lower intake manifold. Following that, do the fuel pressure release and after it's done, drain the cooling system. First, take out the upper radiator hose from the housing, then remove the upper intake manifold. Remove the heater hose from the coolant pipe and the coolant container hose from the coolant pipe as well. Remove the electrical connectors from both the fuel injectors and the coolant temperature sensor and afterwards disconnect the fuel hose from the fuel rail. Take out the bolts fastening the fuel rail and after that, remove the rail and injectors as a set. After that, remove the bolts beneath the intake manifold and carefully take out the whole intake manifold.

The next step is to remove the negative battery cable in the trunk. From there, lift out the upper intake manifold and pull the electrical connectors from the injectors.
