To start servicing the HVAC hose/line, recover the refrigerant and disconnect the system's battery negative cable. Remove the top cover and snorkel of the air cleaner from the engine compartment and after that, disconnect the drain tube at the wiper module. Open the nut at the suction line fitting on the A/C compressor and free the connector from the box, leaving the seal there. Closely plug or cover the opened suction line connection and the suction port on the compressor with tape. Now, take out the clip that holds the suction line routing clip on the receiver/drier bracket, remove the nut from the suction and liquid line fittings on the expansion valve and throw away the seals. Place tape or a plug over the openings of all fittings and the two ports on the expansion valve, then lift the suction line from the top of the dash panel's retaining bracket. If there is a rear air conditioner, raise the vehicle, remove the wall or anchor strap near the plumbing connections under the vehicle, take off the extension fitting from the underbody suction line fitting, throw away the O-ring and either plug or tape the open fittings. Get the vehicle down and pull the suction line out of the compartment under the hood. Place the suction line into the engine compartment, take off the tape or plugs from the fittings and expansion valve ports and use clean refrigerant oil to lubricate and place the new rubber O-ring seals. Reattach the liquid line and suction line fittings to the expansion valve, holding them with a nut that is tightened to about 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.) and then set the retainer for the suction line return clip. Release the tape or plugs from the suction port and suction line, lubricate a new O-ring, then set it on the fitting and attach it to the compressor suction port with a dual plan seal and tighten the nut as described. At this stage, put back the drain tube, secure the air cleaner top cover and snorkel and insert the suction line into the retaining bracket for all RHD models. If the air conditioning is in the vehicle's rear, elevate it on a support and support structure, uncover the fittings by removing the tape or plugs, grease the O-ring seal and then attach the fittings, tightening them to 23 Nm (17 ft. lbs.) Attach a new tie strap around the underside plumbing where the underbody plumbing connections are, bring down the vehicle, attach the battery negative cable, remove all refrigerant from the system and fill it back with refrigerant.
