The push rods are serviced by removing the cylinder head cover and the gasket beneath them. Then, pull out the rocker arm bolts and pivots and put them on a bench with the same arrangement they came out of the engine. Next, get rid of the push rods and organize them on a workbench again in the same direction. Operate the
Crankshaft until "V8" and TDC on the timing chain case are in alignment which occurs at 147° ATDC is positioned in the No.1 firing role. With the same sequence as before, slide in the rocker arm and pivot assemblies and position the push rods in the same way they were taken off. Use 28 Nm (21 ft. lbs.) torque when you tighten the rocker arm bolts. Don't try to turn or crank the engine while or immediately following rocker arm installation; let the hydraulic roller tappets clean themselves for around 5 minutes before installing the cylinder head cover.
