Before you change the oil pan, disconnect the negative battery cable and empty out the cooling system. After that, take out the radiator fan and the
Intake Manifold. Don't install Tool 8534 while the engine is raised, rather lift the vehicle up on a hoist. Remove the
Exhaust Pipe from the
Exhaust Manifolds and then dismantle the structural cover: take the back seat off, disengage the cross member, remove the dampers, disengage the coupler and remove the interior plate in their respective steps. Pour out the engine oil and change the filter and make sure to place your jack under the engine afterward. With bolts 1 and 3 undone, raise the engine to give room for oil pan removal. Put Greek-blockers between the
Engine Mounts and the lower brackets. Don't press on the selection between the oil pan and oil pan gasket, as both remain attached to the engine. To end, withdraw the mounting bolts for the oil pan, take the oil pan out, disconnect the oil pump pickup tube and extract the gasket and tube together from the engine.
