A single zone heating and cooling unit has only a single actuator, but a dual zone system has actuators on each side. Align the blend door actuator on the left side of the HVAC air distribution housing so the output shaft fits over the link for the blend air door. Tighten two screws in the actuator to 2 Nm (17 in. lbs.) and then plug in the wire harness connector of the actuator. For cars with a right-hand drive, set up the glove box bin and, when available, the silencer below the instrument panel, then attach the negative
Battery Cable and run Actuator Calibration using the scan tool. For the right side assembly, put the blend door actuator on the right side of the air distribution housing and link up the wire harness. Put the actuator into place with the blend door linkage, attach it with two screws tightened to 1.2 Nm (10 in. lbs.) and install the right front floor distribution duct. In left-hand drive models, fit the convenient space inside the glove box and, if you have one, the silencer beneath the instrument panel and after attaching the negative battery cable, initiate the Actuator Calibration process using a scan tool.
