Before anything else, detach and isolate the negative
Battery Cable and afterwards, use a recovery tool to take out the refrigerant liquid line. Raise the vehicle so that you can lift the splash shield of the right front wheelhouse to see the receiver/drier sender. Take out the nut securing the A/C liquid line to the receiver/drier and detach this section from the receiver/drier, throwing away its O-ring and gasket. Then, take the lower part of the A/C suction line and disconnect it from the A/C liquid and suction line assembly and quickly remove the bolt holding the rear of the suction line to the right front frame rail. Drop the vehicle down, then, if your vehicle includes a heat shield, loosen the top nut from the stud on the dash panel by using the slots provided for this purpose. If required, grab the two nuts below the engine and loosen them from the engine studs on the dash panel. Then gently rotate and remove the heat shield at the dash. Place the engine
Coolant Reservoir and the
Power Steering Reservoir where they won't be in the way, but do not drain their fluids yet. Pull the engine coolant reservoir from the right side of the engine compartment and remove the power steering fluid reservoir from the right front strut tower. When ABS is installed, unplug and remove the
ABS Control Module and pump assembly and adjust the
Brake Lines where necessary. Remove the wire harness connector from the A/C pressure transducer on the A/C liquid line and take out the transducer if that's what you need to do. If rear A/C is included, remove the rear A/C extension lines from the connections on the A/C liquid and suction line assembly. Unscrew the nut holding the refrigerant line bracket to the right front strut tower, then the nut supporting the A/C liquid and suction line on the
A/C Expansion Valve. Release the A/C liquid and suction line assembly from the A/C expansion valve and throw away the O-rings, before taking out the assembly from the car. After all of the above, wrap plugs in or seal over every fitting on the refrigerant, expansion valve and receiver/drier lines with tape.
