The first step in servicing the control assembly is to disable the air bag system by separating and isolating the vehicle's negative battery cable, waiting two minutes for the air bag system capacitor to discharge. Take out the negative battery cable first before working on the battery. After that, remove the center bezel from around the instrument panel and disconnect the wire harness from the A/C-heater control, placing the center bezel on a workbench. Take the four screws out of the A/C-heater control securely fastened to the bezel in the center of the instrument panel and take out the control. To install, fix the A/C-heater control into the middle of the instrument panel bezel and hold it in place with the four screws, turning them to 2 N.m (17 in.lbs.). Join the wire harness connector(s) with the A/C-heater control and then set the bezel for the instrument panel back in place. Connect the negative battery cable back again.

How to Install and Calibrate the A/C Switch Actuator on Dodge Magnum?

When you first start the engine after installing a new control or reinstalling the old one, the A/C-heater control will do the Actuator Calibration on its own. If the A/C-heater control has been fitted elsewhere in a vehicle, the Actuator Calibration function has to be started using a scan tool. Last, attach the negative battery cable to the battery once again.
